Overcoming anxiety 30 – Anxiety experiment

My father and I conduct an experiment to see how anxiety responds to extreme physical exertion. He has been very helpful in my recovery effort. As a certified hypnotherapist, he conducts hypnosis sessions on me as a part of my therapy. I’m very grateful to have such loving, supportive and helpful parents.

I know that feeling!

which ran through my mind and talking to her as a friend now without the lingering thought of wanting to date her and wondering if she will hate me puts me at a more relaxed state knowing we can be just friends i can now talk to her without slurred speach or looking at the ground or for an exscape and i know when she is looking for a boyfriend and likes me she knows i like her and can come to me anytime.

It took me about 4 months to do this. my whole body shook as if I were cold. I could barely think and this brough on more anxiety. She did say no, she wasn’t ready for any relationship but wanted to remain my friend i accepted and told her that I understood and said to myself that was not bad at all the worse thing that could have happened was her not wanting to even be my friend at all.

I don’t have very many bad attacks but I do have them to the point I cannot put words together and i find myself looking down to the grounds or somewhere else for an escape. I have recently been trying to force myself into situations where I feel high anxiety and when its over I tell myself that it wasn’t so bad. when I do it again my anxiety is not so bad still slighty but not as bad as the last time. I recently asked out a girl I like at work…

great video, keep it up

great video seth,

and i admire your honesty at the end of the video, stating that although the run helped you lose your anxiety temporarily, it was soon back when you reached the point of breathelessness.

Good video mate, keep up the great work

Thank you so much! :)

This is awesome. I do something similar on the treadmill. I turn the speed up as high as I can stand and challenge myself to stay at that speed, perhaps only for 30 seconds. I find intense exercise in any form cuts anxiety by about 40 percent. Btw, your videos are very well done, thoughtful and informative.
