Yeah, it is. Me too. The anticipatory anxiety can and is sometimes worse than the anxiety when I’m out and about.
I hear ya… and its all true. They make more money in drugging you then curing you. But I force myself to deal with it and its usually the pre-approach that gets me once I’m in the mix of things I’m better. Weird huh? But I have the same thing with crowds. Can’t stand it.
Well, doctors these days are just pill pushers since they get money from the drug companies. I tried Zoloft, but the side effects actually created MORE panic. It really pays I think to bust anxiety w/out meds if you can. Facing it and dealing with it head-on really does work, as you’re finding out.
I’ve been living with this since I was a kid, there was no help and all I got was criticism from family members I never had any support. After 9/11 hit I was down there when everything was chaos and made me 100% times worst specially the things I’ve seen. Doctors just tried putting me on paxil but it made me worst where I would freak out when the phone rang. The doctor said I had “what if” syndrome. But I force myself to deal with it and it seems to be working to overcome my anxiety.
None of the above. It seems genetic, at least in part. Many family members on my dad’s side have the same thing. Also, I was experiencing a lot of stress with my job when I recently went downhill.
ok…what is triggering the attacks? …did you mom or dad die….family pet…money problem?
I had really bad anxiety attacks too. You’re not crazy! Find the physical cause and you can solve your problem. For me it was replacing my metal fillings (mercury really messes with your nervous system) and clearing up a candida condition. I also found taking fish oil to be helpful. And most importantly was getting to know Jesus, He’s not called the ‘Prince of Peace’ for nothing!
Good luck, I know how life-crippling it can be. Internet research was how I figured mine out.
Hey thanks. :) Green happens to be my favorite color as well.
Green’s my favorite color man. It looked good, nice color harmony ;-)
Keep up the good work!
LOL, I know, too many screens! I just realized my green shirt matches the info scrolling by. Haha, didn’t plan that one. :)
But yeah, the bigger your arsenal for fighting back against your disorder the better!
Nice recap video!
“Operator” I need and exit! Hehe looks like you have the Matrix running in the background. Very kewl. :-)
This was a very comprehensive recap. Also I like how you are taking multiple approaches in recovery. I think thats the best way, not to rely on just therapy or meds or holistics but all together. Way to go.
