Overcoming anxiety 9 – My plan of action

In these next seven videos I explain the many things I have started doing to overcome my anxiety and panic, in a very aggressive and serious plan. I talk about a very helpful anxiety and panic workbook, and start talking about physical exercise in helping with anxiety and panic. @bwelmhouse1 I just saw your comment now. Not sure how I missed it. Excellent advice. I’ll talk it over with my therapist. I was thinking last night that I will start going around the really short block near my house. That way I’m not too far from my safe spot and work my way up. Thx.

@tattooyu Well, I’m no therapist or professional in these matters, but I would think that if it’s the exercise, your exposure therapy maybe should include doing the exercise that brings it on, but in gradual steps. But couple it with positive thinking and coping statement practice. You face it enough times and desensitize from it and by using the various tools of therapy. Exercise does seem to mimic some of the physical symptoms of anxiety. The book “Anxiety and Phobia Workbook” is great!

Excellent series Seth. I happen to get exercise-induced attacks. What then?

Cool. :)

you look like a big ol’ bear on that bike :)
